Synopsis for "Fear in Philadelphia!"
In Philadelphia, Dr. Sivana uses his reincarnation machine to resurrect various historical pirates and villains to form a gang. With even Captain Marvel unable to be in enough to places to foil such an army of evil, Billy Batson communicates with Mercury via Eterni-Phone and the Messenger of the Gods sends Kid Eternity to help him.

- This is the first actual appearance of Kid Eternity since the Golden Age/Quality Comics; his previous DC appearances were reprints of Quality stories.
- Beautia reminds her father about the disaster that resulted when he used his Reincarnation Machine for the first time to resurrect Attila the Hun. This happened back in Captain Marvel Adventures #20.
Trivia
- Dudley wears a mustache in order to look like Mentor, character of the Shazam! TV Series; other elements were also incorporated due to the influence of the TV series, such as the van, the Eterni-phone and the fact that he and Billy are traveling.
- This is one of the rare occasions where Captain Marvel uses Super-Breath.
