Searching for him? Listen... my ex and I gave that kid up a long time ago. Weren't really the parent types and we weren't getting along. I mean, she's a mess. Hey, if you're judging me for that, asking if I feel bad... sure, I guess. But I'm better off without him. I mean, the kid's better off without me.

Notes
- The existence of the Justice Society confirms that Shazam! (Volume 3) is already set in the timeline of Earth 0 born after Doctor Manhattan undid his "experiment" in Doomsday Clock #12.
- According to Billy, the Shazam Family journeyed to Oz in order to help Alice and Dorothy repel the Tin People shortly after this story. The heroes then moved to the Darklands to fight Dracula and, eventually, to the Gamelands to rescue the Atari Force.
- After those adventures, Shazam's story chronologically continues in the Year of the Villain: The Infected storyline.
- Shazam does not recognize Prime in this issue. However, during the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal, the League actually recognizes him because of the Infinite Crisis and Final Crisis events. This may suggest that, by the time these events take place, the timeline is still in flux.
- Superboy-Prime's story chronologically continues in Dark Nights: Death Metal #3.
Trivia
- Superboy-Prime references Lady Shazam and Shazam Jr.'s Pre-Flashpoint counterparts, Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr.. He also recalls meeting Billy's previous counterpart, Captain Marvel, and defeating Black Adam's previous counterpart in Infinite Crisis #6.
- The title page of Justice Society of America (Volume 3) #21 is replicated in this issue.
