Synopsis for "Welcome to our Overlords! Part Three"

Trapped deep within the bowels of the Society Tower, Mary Marvel defends herself from her attackers but is ultimately overwhelmed and trapped in a series of robotic limbs and magical tendrils while Hoppy escapes. Georgia Sivana, always looking for an opportunity to get under Mary's skin, takes the opportunity to gloat about her new Society. She reveals she has enhanced her body with a weird combination of magic and technology and blasts Mary with an energy beam that apparently disintegrates her. With Mary out of the way, the Society deploys its giant robots to attack the city.

At the Rock of Eternity, Billy and the Captain sense what has happened to Mary. Billy gets a call from Darla from his walkie-talkie and asks what happened to Mary. Darla doesn't know that, but she does know that Freddy has gone crazy and is attacking helpless civilians, including Dudley. Just as the Commander is about to kill Dudley, the Captain intervenes and tries to calm his friend. The Commander, still possessed by the mysterious entity within the Amber Lightning, refuses to listen to anything the Captain has to say and continues his attack. He blames Billy's family for trying to destroy his own family, but suddenly realizes the Amber Lightning is attempting to control him. He tries to stop himself from hurting his friend but the Amber Lightning exerts too much control over him. The entity within the green relic says that it has killed champions of the old Wizard before, but the Captain's death will be more satisfying because the entire world is watching.

Beau, the Vasquezes' new neighbor, saves the Captain by getting him into her van and driving him away from the battle. Through their telepathic link, Billy senses that the Captain is dying, but the Captain doesn't care if he dies so long as Billy is safe. Billy, however, refuses to abandon the Captain and takes control of their shared body so that the Captain can return to the Rock of Eternity and heal for his injuries. Beau is surprised that Billy is the Captain, and Billy tells her to take him back to the battle so he can save Freddy.

Mary awakens on a barren, distant planet. The energy beam Georgia shot her with was actually a teleportation beam. Mary finds Georgia sitting on a rock in front of her, with a small swarm of Venusian worms similar to Mr Mind at Georgia's side. Georgia invites Mary for a talk before her hated enemy dies.
