Professional History
Sheldon "Shelly" Moldoff was an American comic book artist. He began his career at DC Comics by illustrating several Golden Age covers. Several of them depicting first appearances of Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman and Hawkgirl. However, he's best known as a "ghost artist" (uncredited collaborators) for Bob Kane's Batman from 1953-1967. At that time, he created some of the oddest characters inhabiting Gotham City, such as Bat-Mite and Zebra-Man. He also co-created the long-running Batman villain Poison Ivy.
