The Mystery Marauder was an enemy of Superman.

Shiela performed hypnotist acts in nightclubs. At a party she met Tobias Williams who fell in love with her at first sight. Prior to their meeting; Tobias had acquired a unique gift called the power of prana. When Shiela learned of this power she turned Tobias into her slave through hypnosis. Shiela would force Tobias to transfer the power of prana to her. Shiela would then don a lead-lined suit and go on a crime spree. She hypnotized two security guards at the Jewelry Expo and robbed the establishment. Superman arrived and a battle ensued where she used the prana powers to cause the circular roof to come off and use it as a weapon which allowed her to escape.

A little while later she received more prana power from Tobias to execute a new crime. Prior to her receiving all the prana power, Superman arrived and a battle ensued. Behind the scenes Superman also received prana power from Tobias in which he was able to defeat Shiela. When she was arrested it was revealed that her real name was Shirley Adams and that Shiela Abalon was her alias. It was also revealed that she was a small time criminal, when she met Tobias and learned of his gifted power she figured that she could use his powers to execute bigger crimes.
