• Mechanical Aptitude: Shlagen was the team mechanic for the Omega Men.

Weaknesses

• Cowardice: Shlagen's belly is as yellow as his scales.
  • Fear-Lock Paralysis: When overwhelmed with fear, Spitroids suffer a catatonic shock reminiscent of a heart attack and lapse into a death-like coma. This has the side benefit of allowing them to "play possum", making them appear unappetizing to predators.

• Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact.
