Synopsis for "Supersymmetry"

Superboy shows up at Project Cadmus, with a letter from the organization stating that Superbly has cleanup duty. While tooling around, Superboy starts playing with a knife on display, and the knife cuts him, to his surprise, and he passes out. When he comes to, he is looking up into the face of Jason Blood. Superboy gets up, having been placed on a rug on the floor. Jason apologizes for the dagger, explaining that it was put in his possession for safekeeping, but it was stolen not long ago, along with several other artifacts. He explains that he can't sense the dagger, he can only sense its handiwork, which is what led him to find Superboy. Superboy notices that there isn't a scar on his hand, and Jason informs him, to his dismay, that he's dealing with magic. Superboy leaves, but his cut reopens, and he goes back to Jason. Jason explains that his proximity is what's keeping the wound closed, and that only when he grasps the dagger again will it truly be healed.

Superboy and Jason arrive at Cadmus, get past the guards, and begin searching for the dagger. They find a ritual circle, and Blood steps into it. Superboy tries to talk to him, but he realizes that the circle has trapped Blood within an impenetrable force field, and that he can't understand what Blood is saying. Parsons appears, wearing mystical gear, and Superboy attacks him, but is easily repelled. Superboy asks Blood what they would do, but only catches bits of what Blood is saying. It becomes clear what the demonologist said, as he summoned the demon Etrigan, who stands in Blood's place.

Etrigan approaches Parsons, who summons 'Homunculus' to defend him. They turn, a glowing, radiant being flies into the room, and blasts Etrigan. Homunculus continue blasting Etrigan, but now that the demon is on his guard, the blasts have no effect. Etrigan grabs Homunculus by the throat, and begins throttling him. When Parsons tells Etrigan that he wants to use Homunculus for killing and treachery, the demon lets go of Homunculus, and says that if he is given back Blood's artifacts, he won't stop Parsons or Homunculus. Superboy exclaims that he's not leaving without the knife, and Etrigan laughs at this, and finally tells Superboy that the dagger is in him, before he teleports away. Superboy understands, and punches through Homunculus, grabbing the dagger out of him. With Homunculus gone, and Superboy's wound healed, Superboy hauls Parsons out of the room, leaving the dagger behind.
