Silk Man was an immortal sorcerer from a previous universe who survived by devouring the bodies of others and plotted against The Presence.
History
The being that would be known as the Silk Man is a surviving remnant from a previous universe that kept himself alive by devouring and integrating of others into his ever-changing and unraveling flesh. Unlike most creatures, the Silk Man was not sculpted in any way by The Presence, rendering him a unique and dangerous force. The Silk would travel the Earth for millennia and found magic schools of mutilation such as the Aaro Jinn to sustain himself and eventually appear in modern China working with the rogue angel Perdissa to assassinate Lucifer. Lucifer eventually caught onto his schemes and changed his undying body into an inert form outside the Multiverse.[1]
The Silk Man would eventually encounter Lucifer again in the Void beyond Creation once he left the Multiverse, planning to devour him before relenting and wandering off out of fear Lucifer's strength.[2]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Altered Physiology
- Accelerated Healing
- Magic
- Immortality: The Silk Man's body has a crude form of immortality that relies on integrating flesh, but is effective enough that Lucifer admits that the Silk Man cannot die due to being in a state of undeath and is incapable of dying due to being an extant from a previous universe.[1]
- Self-Sustenance
Abilities
Notes
- Lucifer states that the Silk Man is the "remnant of an earlier, cruder Creation" and was not born of The Presence. These statements suggest that the Silk Man is another resident of Perpetua's first, obscure iteration of the Multiverse, who was able to escape the various cosmic upheavals, similarly to the Jin En Mok.[3]
