Simon Ecks is a psychiatrist working at Arkham Asylum during its destruction. When spirits led by Deacon Blackfire were freed by another doctor, Ecks gained the ability to summon a powerful spirit projection of himself.[2]
History
DC Rebirth
Ecks eventually mastered his abilities and could move his body freely from the duplicate, which looked more like him, but still visibly a spirit. He was murdered by Two-Face who had the help of Amygdala and Solomon Grundy to battle the duplicate.[3]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Astral Projection: Ecks can create a spirit duplicate with the following powers.
- Flight: Ecks's spirit duplicate can fly at incredible speeds and can appear as a blur to the naked eye.[4]
- Fatal Touch: Prolonged physical contact with Ecks spirit body is lethal to common human and even a brief touch was enough to cause Batman severe pain.[5]
- Superhuman Strength: Ecks's duplicate possesses superhuman strength of the highest order and has proven able to make Superman bleed and even defeat him in one occasion.[4]
- Superhuman Durability: Ecks's duplicate has some degree of resistance to kinetic impacts. While fighting Superman he was able to crash on the ground twice and through a rock boulder at high speed while suffering no damage but later a punch from Superman square in the face was enough to knock him out.[4] Also the duplicate doesn't appears to be bulletproof as Two-Face killed both of his bodies by shooting them in the head.[3]
Abilities
Weaknesses
- Vulnerability to Nth Metal: Like all ghosts and spirits, Doctor Double X' duplicate has a weakness to Nth Metal and weapons made of such material can disperse his spirit copy.[5]
Other Characteristics
