Thomas Wayne, later known as Dr. Simon Hurt, is an ancestor of Bruce's father also named Thomas Wayne and a cultist who was fused with the Hyper-Adapter to allow him to live into the modern age.
History
Rebirth
Doctor Hurt recruited Professor Pyg and made him create Dollotrons of Robin and Nightwing. Deathwing brings him Robin, who he plans to kill at dawn. He was apparently killed when Deathwing stabbed him, but not before stabbing Deathwing too.

- Simon Hurt was created by Sheldon Moldoff and Charles Paris, first appearing in Batman #156. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Simon Hurt first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Batman Incorporated (Volume 2) #3 by Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham.
