Synopsis for "Bad Sons Rising, Part 4"

Sinestro returns to New Korugar after escaping Earth, now wielding the red light of rage. He finds the Yellow Central Power Battery destroyed and angrily demands to know who is responsible. Korugaran civilians flock around him and tell him that it simply imploded three days ago with no explanation. He is about to leave to track down whoever destroyed the battery but the people beg him to stay and lead them. He agrees, telling them that they will remake New Korugar stronger than before, and then strike at those who hurt them with righteous fury.

On the ocean world, alien "piratesites" hack their way into Melville. The space whale is too frenzied by pain to think to warp away. In order to save him, and themselves, the Sinister Sons and Tommy Tomorrow need to get Melville to ignore the pain and focus on self-preservation. Tommy tells them that according to legend, Melville is telepathic, so if they climb up his spinal cord to his brain they may be able to communicate with him. Tommy is too big to climb through the narrow passage and so sends the boys up while he holds off the piratesites. Sinson and Lor-Zod reach the brain but it doesn't react to their presence. Sinson suggests that they may need to touch it in order to make contact; Lor-Zod refuses but Sinson touches the brain and makes telepathic contact. He tells Melville to take them to Korugar and Sinestro.

Melville warps to New Korugar's system, where the yellow sun begins to restore Lor-Zod's powers. As they climb back down Lor-Zod asks Sinson why he took them to New Korugar, and Sinson tells him that he believes he is the son of Sinestro. They emerge in the chamber below and find Sinestro, now wearing the uniform of the Red Lantern Corps, who demands to know what they are doing there.
