Skallox was one of those to receive a Red Lantern Ring when Atrocitus of the Five Inversions sent them out to form the Red Lantern Corps.

History

Back on his home world, Skallox was the favored Interrogator, and loyal member of a crime syndicate. Despite his loyalty, the gang's boss believed Skallox betrayed them and had him thrown into a furnace to be burned alive, burning off his hair and skin. However before he could be killed, Skallox's anger attracted a Red Power Ring, and like the others, the ring attached itself to him saving his life and turning him into a Red Lantern.
