Synopsis for Zoro, the Mystery Man: "Casino of Crime"

In a casino in the country of Rembecco, a woman loses her last cent at roulette and flees the building. A dashing fellow, who always sits and watches, but never talks or gambles, rises to pursue her, seemingly having waited for this very moment. He catches the woman about to hurl herself off a cliff, but stops her in the nick of time. She introduces herself as Dell Travis, once wealthy heiress, and he introduces himself as Zoro the Mystery Man, a powerful ally to people in situations such as hers. Zoro asks her to put off her suicide for a day and promises to use that time to investigate the crooked casino that cheated her out of the last of her worldly wealth.

Zoro confers with Dell's fiance, Jim Hart, who explains she was made heir to half her father's company. However, the company had gone from bad to worse, reducing her to trying to recoup some of it at roulette. Zoro remarks it sounds like she was deliberately targeted by someone, just before they're attacked by a sinister hooded figure. Quickly, Zoro impales him through the heart with a concealed sword-cane, and they unmask their assailant as the bodyguard of Paul Migg, the man who inherited the other half of the Travis business empire. Playing a hunch, Zoro finds a hidden switch that controls what color wins at the roulette table, and starts to win so much he soon breaks the bank. He's invited into the office of the casino's owner, Mr. Migg, to collect his winnings, only to find himself held at gunpoint. While Migg goes to collect Dell, Zoro offers the thug guarding him a cigarette. Suspicious, he demands Zoro smoke one first to prove they're not drugged, but they're actually cleverly-disguised weapons and the cigarette shoots the thug with a bullet. Zoro exchanges clothes with the thug, and when Migg shows up again with Dell, takes her aside and reveals himself.

Migg summons his inner circle for a meeting, only to realize he's been tricked. Zoro makes short work of the others, but when Migg tries to shoot him, Zoro wrestles the gun around so Migg shoots himself and it looks like suicide. Dell offers to share the wealth she'll inherit from Migg's death with Zoro, but he tells her to use her wealth to help others and to stay out of casinos. Himself, he has to move on and find the next person who needs his help.
