Meanwhile, in Egypt, Holden is accompanied by two Syndicate Blackguards, and goes to Lynch's meeting in Cairo. It is then reveal from Holden that he kept one thing from Tao. It was the address of Diamanda M'Batu, the one-time queen of Egypt, who planned the assault on the FBI warehouse and for causing Genocide Jones' death. Suspecting that it is for his chance to kill Diamanda in vengeance. The reason for keeping this secret from Tao remains unsure for Holden, but suspects Lynch knew he would.
