Synopsis for Midnight: "Singing Swindle"
A singer on Dave Clark's station becomes despondent after her show, and reveals her crooked agent's kept all of her wages. After Midnight pays "Percentage" Graftly a visit, he tries to get revenge by getting a homely bumpkin girl with a melodious voice as his new client, so that Dave Clark can unmask her on TV and look like a chump. However, her gun-packing down-home relatives show up looking to get her back, and the chaotic debacle is caught on film before Graftly's arrested. Not only did his plans backfire, the goings-on are aired on Dave Clark's station as a comedy hit.

Notes
- Last issue for Midnight, for Espionage, and for Jester.
- The Jester:
- Based on lyrics he's depicted singing, Brewster would seem to be playing the role of the Mikado, although the large axe his character carries would suggest Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner.
- After this issue, Smash Comics changed titles and became Lady Luck, and continued from issue #86 to #90.
- Also appearing in this issue of Smash Comics were:
- "Midnight's Merry Men" (text story, featuring Midnight)
