History
Having captured Lightray, Darkseid hands him over to Desaad to use his torture tools to soften him up for interrogation,therefore he devised the device known as a Solar Neutralizer,to cut off the Lightray's main source of energy..
Capabilities
The Solar Neutralizer emits a kind of black light that neutralizes the solar energy within Lightray's body and within its range,preventing him from accessing his powers. While under the rays of black light Lightray is in a quasi-catatonic state. [1]
