Solaris is the name of several otherwise unrelated supervillains in the DC Universe: a Golden Age alien fought by Wonder Woman, a solar-powered enemy of Kobra named Clifton Lacey, and a sentient, artificial sun which was a recurring nemesis of Superman Prime in the 853rd Century.
The original Solaris was created by Gardner Fox and Harry G. Peter, first appearing in All-Star Comics #13 (1942), Clifton Lacey by Martin Pasko and Chic Stone in Kobra #2 (1976), and the tyrant sun by Grant Morrison and Val Semeiks in DC One Million #1 (1998).
