Synopsis for "Took Ill On a Thursday"

Solomon Grundy crashes through the wall of the Scott home, searching for Green Lantern. However, he only finds Scott's wife, Molly. She runs through the house, and shuts the door to her room. As she feverishly searches for her gun in her door, Grundy punches through the door. She turns and shoots him, but the bullet does nothing. Grundy bats her into the wall, and finds Scott's power battery. The battery begins bathing him in its rays, and Grundy angrily smashes it against the floor. Molly tries to get out of the house, but the roof caves in, trapping her under the rubble. Grundy tries to crush the battery in his hands, but this proves to be futile. In Slaughter Swamp, Alan Scott searches for Grundy, but his ring tells him that his home is under attack from Grundy. Scared for Molly's safety, Alan quickly flies home. Grundy strains to crush the battery, and finally succeeds, and the battery explodes in his hands, blowing up the house.

The year is 1885. Inside the gold Estate, Cyrus Gold sits in a chair in he middle of a ritual circle in his room. He begins hallucinating, and sees a bunch of shadowy hands with knives come out from behind his chair and attack him. Cyrus jumps out of his window, and falls into he bushes below, where he gets up and runs away.

Alan retrieves Molly, and he puts a containment field around Grundy, and flies Molly to the hospital. The glowing pieces of his battery lose their light, and Alan crashes into the street next to the hospital. He and Molly are unharmed, and as the doctors take her, Alan's ring dies. In space, a man sits inside a satellite, and the computer tells him that Alan Scott has left Slaughter Swamp. Remarking that he thought Alan would never leave, he discharges a man-size pod from the satellite, and it falls to earth. Meanwhile, a bloody and battered Grundy stumbles through the city streets. He returns to the swamp, where the murky waters heal him. He's disappointed to see the sun rise, and he howls in anger as he reverts back to Cyrus Gold. Cyrus gets up, angry that he's back in the swamp. He notices that he's bleeding in his chest, and he remembers that Grundy fought Alan's power battery. He sees something in the water, and picks it up, horrified to discover that it's his knife.

Cyrus collapses, sobbing, remembering everyone that he's killed. He apologizes, and says that he'll do anything to make it stop. The Phantom Stranger appears, and says that it'll only stop once he's found and forgiven his killer. He asks Cyrus who killed him. Stranger lists everyone that he's killed, an concludes that none of them killed him. Cyrus realizes that he doesn't know who killed him, and he screams at the Stranger to tell him, but the Stranger, unresponsive, disappears. Cyrus sees something in the sky and sees Amazo, who came in the pod, and who's objective is to destroy the swamp.
