The Source is an alien being consisted of a substance called "newfu", which is similar to tofu.

History

The Source was one of the suspects assumed to be the identity of the mysterious villain Red X. When the Titans captured the villain, they removed his mask and revealed the Source underneath, but Beast Boy ate the villain's head, revealing yet another suspect in his place.
