The Space Museum is an institution on 25th Century Earth that primarily holds exhibits dealing with the history of space exploration and colonization by Earth people since its beginning in the 20th Century. The Space Museum also contains displays dealing with Earth's superheroes of the 20th century.[14]
History
The Museum was founded by Howard Parker, then a sentry, after he used Commander Miller's contact lenses in order to protect himself against the Peganans' mind control. The contact lenses turned to be one of the exhibits of the museum. [1]
Two of the most frequent visitors to the Space Museum are Howard Parker and his son Tommy. During these visits, Howard would tell his son the story behind one of the objects on display. Howard would also interrupt each story at a critical point and challenge Tommy to figure out how the object on exhibit was used in the course of the adventure. As an adult Tommy would later take his own son Gardner to the Museum every month to tell him stories about the exhibits.
A night watchman at the Space Museum, Michael Carter, was impressed by the enthusiasm children showed in being told stories about Earth's past heroes by their parents, and he was eventually inspired to become one. Carter took the Museum security robot Skeets and the equipment from the displays and, using Rip Hunter's time machine, which was on display there, went back in time to 20th century Earth where he become Booster Gold.
