- Sparkington J. Northrup was created by Allen Ulmer, first appearing in Blue Beetle #14. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Sparkington J. Northrup first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Stargirl: The Lost Children #4 by Geoff Johns and Todd Nauck.
