Spectre (Volume 2) with a cover date of November, 1988.
Synopsis for "The National Snoop Front Page Star!"
Jim Corrigan has become a notorious person thanks to the article published in "The National Scoop" written by Gina Sayles, in which Corrigan's expertise with the paranormal is exposed. Since the article was published, Kim Liang has had barely any rest from the never ending phone calls to Corrigan's agency from people seeking help with the supernatural, or what they believe to be "ghosts".
For this reason, Zoran offers Corrigan to form an alliance and start a "supernatural agency". Corrigan thinks of the proposal and asks Gina Sayles to write another article promoting his new agency, as well as offering people the chance to join them.
The article is published and hundreds of freaks arrive to be interviewed by Corrigan and become part of the agency. Corrigan selects five people, among which is Gina Sayles, recently fired from the newspaper and Cynner, Kim's punk roommate. Things seem to be going well for them, but Kranik has returned to life and is looking to get his revenge on Corrigan.
Kranik finds Corrigan's place, forcing Spectre to replace Corrigan and fight the undead demon. Kranik is invulnerable to most of Spectre's attacks, but when the Spirit of Vengeance realizes Kranik cannot be killed, he decides to trap him forever inside a gargoyle statue.
The whole team assembled by Corrigan witnessed the fight and realize the kind of missions they will have to deal with as "Cryptica Crimes Limited", with Corrigan and Zoran acting as their leaders.
