- The case of Regina Edmonds is narrated by Jim Corrigan. In the flashback occurs metalanguage: When Jim Corrigan mets Regina, he have the appearance of a young boy and she seems a femme fatale; when Jim discover Regina has a daughter (Julia), Regina seems a old hag and Julia seems a little girl for his eyes; when Jim is talking again with Julia he is shown wearing a medieval armor and she seems a young woman; another scene shows the two women as spider-like monsters and Jim trapped in their web.
