Spol is an alien super-hero known as Green Lantern and a member of the Green Lantern Corps. The Guardians of the Universe gave them a power ring fueled by willpower to protect Space Sector 47. He is a one-eyed creature of the planet Cyc. His predecessor was Ard Rennat, who also bequeathed partial duties to Lysandra of Zintha. Spol was created by Jack C. Harris and Jerome Moore, first appearing in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #168. (1983)
