Secret Weapon is an episode of season 1 of Spy Smasher. It premiered in 1942.
Synopsis for "The Invisible Witness"
Jack grabs one of the spies' guns off the floor and shoots out the fuse box, stopping the machinery just in time to save his brother.
Bombers are repeatedly being shot down through unknown means. Spy Smasher and Jack fly ahead of the next squadron going through that area and are brought down by the Mask's men using a powerful heat ray. The weapon overheats and melts parts of their plane's engine. Spy Smasher checks with the local power plant and learns a lumberyard's been using a suspiciously high amount of electricity. He goes there and overhears the Mask ordering his men to move the heat ray to a new location. The hero is discovered and a fight breaks out, but he ultimately manages to give them the slip.
The spies call ahead and warn their compatriots manning the heat ray that Spy Smasher will be coming their way. Another fight breaks out when they see him coming. Some drums of gasoline are punctured in the ensuing shootout, there's a spark, and the entire building's destroyed in a terrific explosion.
