Spy Smasher. It premiered in 1942.
Synopsis for "V..."
A flashback reveals Jack had coldcocked his brother and taken one of his Spy Smasher getups to save Eve. Thus, the Spy Smasher who fell to his death was Jack Armstrong, not Alan.
The real Spy Smasher shows up and arrests Drake, but comes up with a plan for the spy to lead them back to the Mask. Drake's attorney pulls a gun on the police and leads Drake to a getaway car parked outside the precinct. This was all a trick, and Spy Smasher follows him back to a hideout where he reports to the Mask. The villain sees Spy Smasher sneak in behind Drake over their camera feed just before Spy Smasher attacks him. Fearing the hero could use the transmission to locate his submarine, the Mask orders his crew to immediately go ahead with their attack on a seaside depot loaded with fuel and munitions for English forces.
Spy Smasher and Drake duke it out, with the hero eventually commandeering a speedboat. The Mask's torpedo attack on the fuel depot is successful, but Spy Smasher crashes his boat into the submarine. Not daring to hang around and repair the damage with the fiery conflagration outside, they dive and try to make their escape despite being blinded by the damage caused by Spy Smasher crashing into their vessel. The Germans hit a water mine making their escape and are obliterated.
Admiral Corby awards Spy Smasher a medal for finally destroying the Mask's spy ring.
