Synopsis for "Exit Strategy"
Carmen King is with a military team transporting a wounded soldier to a medical team, Unfortunately, her chopper is shot down just as they're arriving, and she is the only survivor. In a sweat, she wakes from that dream to a hotel room, where she is still undercover as Tiffany, with an escaped scientist belonging to a homegrown terrorist group. The two of them have a 17 hour drive ahead of them before the scientist will tell her anything about what the group's plan is, but both are puzzled that the media is not reporting at all on the launch of the group's missile yesterday.
G.I. Zombie, meanwhile, redirected that missile into a suburban town called Sutterville in Tennessee, but he hadn't expected the missile's payload to cause a zombie outbreak. Fighting a horde of infected people by himself, he hopes to get to higher ground and call for a napalm blanket when his superiors okay a nearby fighter jet to riddle everyone below with bullets. He uses the gunfire as a distraction to get himself out of the throng, hoping to find a weapon of some kind in a nearby garage. Unfortunately, all he can find is a crowbar. Fighting his way back out and onto the roof, he watches as the town is firebombed, and salutes.
Meanwhile, at an undisclosed location, a man named Forrest tests out a bullet-proof suit on his partner Eileen, admitting that it's the only one he's got so far, but that its effectiveness is impressive. She couldn't feel a thing. As he leaves Eileen to get dressed, Forrest receives a call indicating that Duke has been captured, and warns his men to spare no expense in getting him out. He has already been made aware of Cat and Tiffany's impending arrival, and intends to check Tiffany's background out, though he trusts Duke's judgment. Hearing of the success of the missile attack, he orders more of the chemical compound be made.
In Sutterville, the CDC has finally arrived to clean up the mess and help survivors. Jared is happy to see Gravedigger has come with them, warning that the agent isn't airborne, whatever it is. Jared comments that the victims behave as though they have some kind of brain damage. After receiving word that it isn't airborne, Gravedigger removes his mask, admitting that he doesn't know where Jared's partner Carmen is. He assumes she held her cover, though. Unexpectedly, a transport truck rams into the medical centre they'd set up, and Jared and Gravedigger focus on helping those around while they wait to hear from Carmen.
After a long drive, Tiffany and Cat arrive at the Rinaldi Spa and Retreat where they are given complimentary drinks and refreshment before being shown to their rooms. After getting changed into the dress laid out for her, Carmen is taken down in an elevator more than 20 sub-levels to meet with Forrest and Cat over dinner.
