But upon the Manhunters examining the ring bearers' power rings and recognizing them as Oan technology, the Manhunters deem them as thieves and continue their attack. Fortunately, on Spock's suggestion, the Enterprise disable the Manhunters with its tractor beam.
Meanwhile, John, Guy, and Kilowog confront the Augment leader Khan Noonien Singh, who holds Atrocitus' power ring. Khan explains to the Green Lanterns that Atrocitus freed him and his fellow Augments, and then demanded of their obedience. However, the Augments overpowered him. The Enterprise crew managed to establish a dialogue with the Manhunters and Hal explains to one of their representatives about Sinestro and his intentions. The Manhunters are willing to help. Uhura then alert of a distress message from the Bryant. Believing Atrocitus have attacked the Bryant, the Enterprise with the Manhunters proceed to the Bryant's location.
