Synopsis for "The Wormhole Connection"
Klingons mercilessly ambush a Federation starship using a new weapon Meanwhile, following the death of Spock, the Enterprise crew finishes the business of the ill-fated training cruise. Kirk requests a new mission, with the trainee crew as his officers. The Enterprise journeys to the Klingon border to investigate the nature of the sneak attacks and finds the answer in a wormhole distortion.

- DC apparently never exercised rights to reprint this story. Eventually, Titan Books was licensed to reprint the story in the trade paperback To Boldly Go, after the rights reverted away from DC.
