Synopsis for "Slaves of the Golden Queen"

While following the map to the promised land, Starfire and her followers come across a band of Nitrons, who steal all their supplies and leave them exhausted after a serious struggle. Without many options, Starfire leads her followers towards a fortress ruled by a female leader known as The Golden Queen.

Upon arriving at the fortress, Starfire explains her intentions of discussing the possibility of trading with the Golden Queen in exchange for supplies. Starfire is granted an audience with the Queen, where she explains her intentions. However, during their conversation the Queen mistakes Starfire's followers for slaves and she wouldn't be convinced otherwise. Starfire is granted a room in the fortress, but during her stay, she can't fail but notice that most of the Queen's servants are males and all are treated as slaves.

The next morning the Queen informs Starfire that she agrees to provide her with the supplies she requires in exchange for three of her slaves. Starfire is furious at the Queen for still thinking that her followers are slaves, but much to her dismay, three of her followers volunteer to stay as slaves, so long as they won't suffer from hunger or exhaustion as opposed to keep following Starfire.

The trade takes place some time later, but unaware to the Queen's slaves, among the three men she required, is Starfire in disguise. Once inside, Starfire goes to the Queen's chamber, where she learns that the Queen subdues the men that enter her fortress, turning them into slaves by force. The Queen, whose real name is Karoleen, does this because of her traumatic past as a slave of the Mygorg, who was brought up to become a concubine for the slave masters. After learning the purpose of her existence, Karoleen ran away, but in her escape, her face was disfigured and she blamed all males for her misfortune.

Starfire is shocked to learn of Karoleen's past, but in their struggle, both fall from the highest chamber of the fortress and the Golden Queen dies when she falls to the ground. Starfire saved herself by grabbing a rope and after reaching the ground, she leaves the fortress, leading all of the Queen's male slaves and her female soldiers to freedom and resumed her quest to find the promised land with an extended number of followers.
