Starstorm was once a hero from the planet Ogoro, who repeatedly came into conflict with Sinestro.
History
His powers came from his helmet, which granted him the ability to manipulate light. These powers included disrupting energy constructs and locatiing power sources. Eventually, Sinestro bested him and swore to kill him if he ever put the helmet on again.
Years later, Sinestro forced Starstorm to help him find Lyssa Drak and the Book of the Black, who was hiding on Ogoro. When the Guardians of the Universe came looking for the book, they killed Starstorm.
