Synopsis for "From Hell is Forged a Hero!"

Dr. Giles and Hank Heywood were in Munich, presenting the results of their bio-retardent research, which would enable damaged limbs and organs to be replaced without rejection. They were dismissed as cranks and, while making their way to their transportation out of Munich, they encountered two Nazis roughing up an old Jewish man. Heywood knocked them out, and, due to Giles' infirmity, they left.

Arriving in the States, the newspapers proclaimed Hitler's invasion of Poland [1]. Enlisting in the Marines, Heywood eventually stops some saboteurs, nearly dying in an explosion. He begged Giles to use the bio-retardent formula to repair is damaged body with artifical organs and bones.

Heywood was easily able to lift 1000 lbs, run 50 mph, and remain submerged (thanks to his new artificial lung) for up to 30 minutes. Fashioning a costume from steel mesh, he again encountered saboteurs working for a "Baron Death", and stopped them easily. Over the following weeks he tracked down the rest of the saboteur ring, but Baron Death eluded him.
