Stellar Studios was a major filmmaking company in the 1940s and was once owned by Sylvester Pemberton's family.

History

In 1948, the studio was the site of a battle between the Justice Society of America and Evil Star.[1] Stellar Studios was closed down in 1972. However, Sylvester Pemberton, who was the heir to the vast Pemberton fortune, learned that Stellar Studios was still part of his holdings and used the studio as the headquarters of Infinity, Inc.

Although Pemberton owned the studio itself, the city of Los Angeles owned the land it was built on. An agreement was reached whereby the city would rent the land to Pemberton on an open-ended lease, in exchange for Pemberton's financing Infinity, Inc. for Los Angeles. Infinity, Inc.'s headquarters took up a small part of Stellar Studios, and Pemberton intended to restart making films there again.[2] Infinity, Inc.'s headquarters would not last long, however, as Stellar Studios was reduced to ruins during a fierce battle between Infinity, Inc. and Injustice Unlimited.[3]
