Stormwatch: Post Human Division: Armageddon #1 is an issue of the series Wildstorm: Armageddon (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 2008.

Synopsis for "Gods and Men"

John Doran stands before the remains of the 18th Precinct and contemplates all the things the Post Human Division has had to endure since its inception. Void appears before him and teleports him to the future. He is confronted by the destruction of the world and Void tells him he must discover how it happened. John is soon found by a survivor, who tells him that they must get underground as they are in a superstorm. The storm causes a building to nearly crush them in which Fahrenheit appears and destroys the collapsed building.

Fahrenheit is surprised to see John very much alive in which he explains to her that he came from the past and his mission to stop Armageddon. She tells John that the whole world was in chaos when the cataclysm happened and the future John died fighting to the bitter end, which he is content to know. After the superstorm subsided, John and Fahrenheit are teleported to Skywatch III, Stormwatch's newest orbiting station, and meets Jackson King, who now wears his Battalion armor.

Jackson explains to John that after the destruction of the 18th Precinct, he was able to persuade Congress to fund Skywatch and Stormwatch recovered some "items" from a bunker belonging to Henry Bendix. Jackson's powers also steadily increased in which he gained a sense of precognition resulting from getting shot in the head by Christine. He then reveals that Skywatch was three-quarters staffed and operational when Armageddon occurred; thousands of superhumans appeared out of nowhere and battled each other across the globe in which they released energies that permanently altered and very nearly destroyed the planet. All but a small fraction of normal humans died. Stormwatch was able to save thousands and still continue to help survivors. Jackson is determined to find and kill those responsible for the state of the world along with any superhumans who present a threat to his goals of restarting civilization.

John is left concerned of King's intentions, telling him that he is behaving almost like the Authority, Bendix, or even his father Isaiah King. King replies that he is still trying to make it possible for humanity to have a chance again before leaving Fahrenheit to tell John what he needs to know. Fahrenheit reveals to John the fate of the P.H.D. team, in which they are alive.

Black Betty fled with her family to the home of a comatose Jeremiah Cain and teleported themselves away in an apparent attempt to seek help. Gorgeous and Monstrosity hooked up together and live in a house somewhere where the latter protect themselves from marauders. Paris lives in a forest that sprung up in the Nevada desert where he protects surviving animals from hunters. The Machinist took his mother with him to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he used his valuable technological expertise to keep the city thriving in a world where most technology doesn't work anymore in which he is treated with greater dignity.

John is glad to know his friends are doing well, but he still has reservations about Jackson's extreme personality. But before he could talk more, Void returns to take John back to the present. John gives Fahrenheit a heartfelt hug and tells her that he is satisfy to know that there is still someone watching the world even after the end of the world. As Void and John leave, Jackson orders an analysis of Void's temporal energies for reasons unknown.

Upon returning to the present John makes a phone call to his wife, telling her that he will be meeting the P.H.D. team tonight before spending more time with her, and as well talking about moving to Raleigh. That night, John gathered Black Betty, Paris, Gorgeous and Machinist at a pub and began telling them what he saw in the future.
