Strange Adventures (Volume 1) with a cover date of October, 1960.
Synopsis for "Invasion of the Flying Reptiles"
When a rift in time opens above the Capitol Building, a dozen pteranodons fly through. Scientists at first are overjoyed to study living specimens, until they discover the beasts are too tough to capture. USAF fighters and USN destroyers' anti-aircraft guns can't shoot them down.
Meanwhile, Jim Trent has discovered a plesiosaur frozen in an Arctic glacier. He persuades the Navy to thaw out the creature, as a natural enemy of the pteranodons. When the plesiosaur doesn't recognize the flying menaces, Jim talks his wife, Rhoda, into joining him in water-skiing in the Potomac Bay. He gambles that seeing them being attacked will arouse the marine predator's instincts.
