Streak the Wonder Dog was the canine companion of Green Lantern (Alan Scott).

Streak was born into a very large family in the country. It was raised by a blond girl named Sara. Streak was always a heroic type, saving rabbits from hawks and Sara from snakes. Soon after, Sara needed to leave Streak with her brother Luke. Luke was a forest ranger, and the new duo kept busy fighting fires.

One day, after receiving a letter, Luke needed to leave. Luke left Streak in the care of his colleague Jules, also a ranger, and departed by train. Although Jules was kind, Streak just couldn't wait for Sara and Luke - and Streak fled. Sniffing until Luke's cabin, Streak found the letter, partially scorched in the fireplace. He sensed the scent of Sara! She would be in danger! Streak followed the railroad into city.

Finally, Streak found Luke - in time to see him being killed by a gangster armed with a tommy gun. Streak jumped in the gangster's car and began to fight with them, and was shot. Green Lantern came in the last minute and defeated the criminals, taking Streak to a hospital. Receiving surgery, Streak was safe.

Recovering in Alan Scott's apartment, one day Streak felt a familiar scent. He jumped from the third floor into a awning, and began to chase a car. Green Lantern followed him, and when the car was just about to dive into the river, the hero used his power ring to stop the vehicle. The only passenger was Sara - drugged by someone.[1]

At some point later on, Streak had died. [2]
