Synopsis for "Home Again"

El Diablo, while on a mission, is asked to burn down a church which he feels conflicted over. He goes to visit Father Soden who suggests he just leave the Squad given that he is there only voluntarily. Amanda Waller visits him in his cell and refuses to let him free calling him a risk but offers to let him run a new, gang-oriented, Task Force Y. Chato spits in her face and in retribution she decides to show him the power of her new team - by letting them beat him senseless.

During the beat-down a representative of Checkmate arrives and demands that he take El Diablo to join them. The man, Uncle Sam, beats down the prospective Task Force Y and brings Chato to the Checkmate base in Colorado. He introduces him to the new White King who offers Chato a job within Checkmate, or if not they would freely release him without any conditions. Chato chooses to go home.

At his Aunt and Uncle's house in East L.A., no one appeared at his return party and his family reveal how the new gang boss, Bloodletter, is a bloodthirsty and cruel man. As they tell El Diablo this, Bloodletter walks into the house to see Chato; after offering him a beer the two get into a fight despite Bloodletter being immune to fire.

The fight is soon over as El Diablo collapses his childhood home on top of the drug lord and calls Checkmate. With nothing left he accepts the White King's offer and becomes their new Black Knight.

Synopsis for "What Goes Around Comes Around, Part One"

On a mission in South America, the Squad face off against an army of soldiers while Captain Boomerang monologues and pours himself a beer in a near-by bar. Soon the troops all retreat from the fight as another army of metahumans emerge. The Squad meet their match and retreat just as a metahuman prepares to explode. The Squad manage to escape but realize that they had left behind Boomerang, though they rationalize that Waller would not want them to return.

On the ground, Boomerang climbs out from the rubble cursing the team. Later a parade illuminates the streets and Boomerang struggles to organize transport out of the city and is mocked by a girl in an alley just as the metahumans from before track him down. Escaping to a rooftop, Boomerang manages to knock one of the metahuman's masks off revealing the face of a child. Distracted he is pinned down but before the final blow can be taken a fist appears to knock out the would-be executor and it is followed by the remaining body parts of the girl in the alley. The two manage to fight off the metas and they team up, Boomerang and Breaker to take down El Jaguar.
