Suicide Squad #15 is an issue of the series Suicide Squad (Volume 1) with a cover date of July, 1988.

Synopsis for "Devil to Pay"

After pinning Boomerang under a slab of rock, Larry explains to Nightshade and the rest of the Squad that he is also The Incubus. When Larry was captured, he is brought before The Incubus, who was possessing Nightshade and Larry's aunt Beah. The Incubus then transferred from Beah to Larry as his new host. Larry/Incubus explains his plans for Nightshade.

The Incubus's origins goes back to his father Azhmodeus, who once ruled the Nightshade Dimension and stirred his fellow brother princes to war against their overlord. They were defeated, stripped of their lands, and banned from ever physically returning to them. But Azhmodeus plotted from the void and conceived a plan: which involve mating The Incubus-possessed Larry with Nightshade.

June Moone breaks free from her bindings by turning into the Enchantress and proceeds to attack The Incubus. However, The Incubus is quick to subdue Enchantress and recognizes her as his sister - specifically the soul inhabiting Enchantress and is responsible for her powers, The Succubus. June is depowered and unable to change back to the Enchantress.

The Incubus continues to elaborate that after Azhmodeus's fall, his land was colonized by beings given certain powers to help bar his return. The Dhazmor was a guardian being set over the Nightshade Dimension. Azhmodeus created his children, The Incubus and Succubus, and sent them to his realm to grow and gather strength. The ruling family of the dimension gave birth to two girls, Beah and Rhea. Azhmodeus's plan is to have his children possessing Beah and Rhea, and then mating with each other to create a new host for their father and returning him to his rightful domain. After Beah was possessed by The Incubus, Rhea escaped from being possess by The Succubus due to the intervention of The Dhazmor and live on Earth.

The Incubus killed the rest of the royal family and made war on The Dhazmor's forces. In desperation, The Dhazmor summoned Rhea in hopes that she would raise the standard against The Incubus. Unfortunately, Rhea brought Larry and Eve with her in which The Incubus killed Rhea and took Larry while Eve escaped. The Dhazmor struck a blow by capturing The Succubus and fusing her with June Moone to create the Enchantress to be a force of good. Unfortunately, The Succubus's nature asserted itself and turning the Enchantress into a force of evil. The Dhazmor fell into The Incubus's hands and his force reigned unchecked on the Nightshade Dimension. Since then, The Incubus had been manipulating Nightshade and Enchantress through their dreams, and now he can finally finish where they left off by having The Succubus possessing Nightshade.

Just as The Incubus is about to force Succubus inside Nightshade, Duchess breaks free and then frees the rest of the Squad. The Squad tries to stop The Incubus, but they are too late. As Incubus gloats in victory he is suddenly shot by a blast of shadow from Nightshade, who overcomes her possession and her powers are augmented by Enchantress' powers. Both Nightshade and Incubus battle each other in which their fight is consequently causing the Nightshade Dimension to destabilize. Deadshot tries to end all this by shooting Incubus's mortal host in the head. However, this only makes the situation even more worse as everyone is sucked into a vortex.
