Nemesis comes back to Belle Reve. Amanda Waller, Simon LaGrieve, and professor Calendar examine the control box of Ifrit to possibly use as a weapon. Shade puts his hands on the device and it causes the activation of the device. The occasion quickly dissolves and Amanda Waller chews out Shade because of this. She has to deal with Briscoe arguing with Mitch Sekosfsky over Briscoe sleeping in the helicopter Sheba. After she resolves the situation, she talks with Simon LaGrieve. They talk about the psychology of the members of the team and Deadshot leaving the team for personal reasons recently [1].

Nightshade talks with Father Craemer about her new powers from being combined with the Succubus. She is worried for her soul because it is combined with this demonic entity but Father Craemer states that god understands and this comforts her.

Amanda Waller calls Duchess to state she suspects Duchess is Lashina of the Female Furies. Duchess plays coy and insists she has amnesia. Amanda Waller is unconvinced. She has to deal with Doctor Light knowing about the team and he tries to be a part of it. He tries to blackmail the team by talking about its existence but Amanda Waller uses vague threats to scare him into compliance.

She goes to her office and thinks about Checkmate attempting to find dirt on Derek Tolliver. He would come visit Belle Reve unannounced and talked to Amanda Waller. He talks about the situation stating that he may get her job and of the blackmail. Rick Flag is listening from outside the room and threatens Tolliver with a gun but Amanda Waller saves Tolliver's life by threatening Rick Flag.
