Synopsis for "The Janus Directive, Part 2: Scattermove"

At Koning Industries, Amanda Waller starts an emergency meeting of Task Force X which includes Harvey Bullock & Harry Stein of Checkmate, Bronze Tiger of the Suicide Squad, and Bridges D’Abo of Project Peacemaker. Waller explains she discovered the Janus Directive, a conspiracy to have the American intelligence community to fight itself. She believes the Atom Project or the Force of July will attack Task Force X. Amanda Waller assigns Checkmate and Project Peacemaker to capture or kill General Eiling & Doctor Megala of the Project: Atom. Amanda Waller Assigns the Suicide Squad to steal the Medusa Mask from the Force of July. The Suicide Squad is authorized to kill the Force of July if necessary.

All of the Janus Directive that has been shown is talk by Amanda Waller that it exists with no supporting evidence. After the meeting ends Harvey Bullock and Harry Stein agree that without any evidence, they will not kill Gen. Eiling & Dr. Magala. They secretly agree to get in touch with Black Thorn and Val Vostok to independently verify the existence of the Janus Directive.

In an unknown location, seemingly unrelated to Task Force X, two unknown agents are insinuated to have discovered information about the Janus Directive and are attacked.

Back at Belle Rev, Bronze Tiger briefs the Suicide Squad on the mission to steal the Medusa Mask and the abilities of the Force of July. After the briefing, Flo Crawley talks to Bronze Tiger about talking to Oracle. Oracle has no information that corroborates the existence of the Janus Directive. It is also clear Flo wants to date Bronze Tiger even though he has already refused her.

The team goes to Carlyle House, California to start their mission. The Force of July were warned about an attack this night and were prepared for battle. Even with this preparation, the Force of July lost. Lady Liberty, Major Victory, and Silent Majority were captured. Abraham Lincoln Carlyle and Mayflower were killed. It had been established Dr. Light is extremely afraid of children but after he decides to kill Sparkler, he may have lost some of his fear. There was a minor verbal fight in which Bronze Tiger calls Duchess Lashina.

In an unknown mountainous area, Dr. Megala, Gen. Eiling & Babylon are in a house. Gen. Eiling is trying to convince Dr. Megala to hide. The team of a Checkmate Knight and the Peacemaker get sent here. The Checkmate Knight is able to kidnap Dr. Megala. The Peacemaker decides to blow up the house. The team believes everyone else in that mountain house has died but the reader sees Gen. Eiling is alive. Babylon is assumed dead.
