Synopsis for "Legerdemain, Part Three: Snafu"

The Thinker, under Waller's orders, convinces Marlo to reveal that the Cabal, who wanted to partner with Marlo and his metahuman project, is secretly part of the American government, including agents of the CIA and FBI. Finally he reveals his contact is Major McClellan, air force. Waller gets Oracle to put dampers back on Thinker and learns Batman, who believes Waller is involved in Ray Palmer's death, is tracking her down. Elsewhere, questioning Hayoth's Hacohen, Batman tries to get more facts and reveals rogue CIA agents were shrunk by Palmer in revenge for their killing of Palmer's miniature jungle friends. Nightshade, silently listening to them for Waller, noisily appears and warps away to report to Waller. Batman accuses Nemesis of working for Waller. Waller tells Sarge Steel they have to find McClellan before the Cabal does. Unaware Eiling (of the Cabal) knows Waller is springing a trap, her plan proceeds as Boomerang supposedly betrays the Squad and allows the Cabal to capture Atom (Cray). Waller and Steel realize that McClellan is on Blood Island and plans on disappearing before the Cabal can get him. McClellan urges Jihad members to rescue Marlo while he betrays them, planning to use their getaway boat to flee. Bronze Tiger leads the Squad to try to capture McClellan. Soon, all teams converge at the same time as McClellan is about to be killed by the Cabal. Mayhem ensues, providing McClellan with a great diversion to escape. Elsewhere, Cray is held by Cabal agents who believe he is Palmer who, after brainwashing, they hope will divulge the information they seek. Cray escapes but in regaining his size-belt is killed by Blacksnake, much to the dismay of his Cabal teammate Bailey, who realizes the Cabal does not take failure lightly.
