Synopsis for "Raise the Dead"
Two years ago, Rick Flag infiltrates the terrorist base Jotunheim to destroy the Jihad organization. He is caught by their agent Rustam and the two men battle until Flag detonates an atomic bomb.[1]
Six months later in Belle Reve prison, Amanda Waller ends a riot by blowing up a bomb inside the inmate Puma. General Eiling arrives to inform her that Rick Flag is alive but a prisoner of Russia. Waller hastily assembles a rescue team including Bronze Tiger, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and Nightshade. They arrive at the Russian prison and are ambushed by Major Zastrow with Stalnoivolk and some of the People's Heroes. Realizing Flag was never there, they defeat the Russian metahumans and escape through one of Nightshade's portals. Back at Belle Reve the Squad agrees that Flag is certainly dead. Elsewhere, Flag lies unconscious in a mysterious land with a dinosaur standing over him.
