Quote1 Why is it so necessary to keep them contained? The super-humans. I remember the first time my daddy took me downtown, and I did what all children do. I looked up at the skyscrapers like they were castles. I asked, in awe, who built them? And daddy said, "We did, Amanda. Ordinary human beings just like you and me." Like we were reaching up for the sky. Quote2

Synopsis for "Choose"

Amanda Waller sits down Katana for her review. She covers Katana's origins as a loving housewife whose husband's brother - Takeo - went through a dishonouring as he loved Tatsu also, and somehow came into contact with the Soultaker Sword - which has the power to reject a host and drive them insane.

Takeo took the sword and killed his brother and Katana's children, then razed their house down. Katana returned and fought him to the death, eventually stealing the sword from him and, as it accepted her, she pierced his heart with it, later finding herself heading to the Suicide Squad at the voices recommendation.
