Rick Flag had to be stopped. We both knew this day would come. Flag only every saw the mission. I see the Endgame. And that's were we are now. The Endgame. And I've broken every law and burned every bridge to ensure I have the last, best and winning move. Nothing stops the Wall.

Trivia

  • There are many nods to Marvel Comics in this issue:
    • Ambush Bug clearly states that the Lightning Strikes are a pastiche of the Thunderbolts;
      • Nocturna also comments about the Lightning Strikes being an alternate version of the Suicide Squad. The Thunderbolts' creation was, in fact, heavily inspired by the Suicide Squad;
    • During his clash with Blood Pouch, Ambush Bug wears one of the X-Men's classic suits;
      • Moments later, both the two Fourth Wall-breaking characters point their fingers to each other, recreating the iconic scene of the Spider-Men from the 1967 Spider-Man animated series episode, "Double Identity";
      • While pointing to each other, they both mention sounding like an "attractive Canadian". This is obviously a nod to the actor, Ryan Reynolds, who portrayed Deadpool, another Fourth-Wall breaking character.
    • Dead Red becomes bigger by getting angrier, which is a reference to Hulk's raw power being directly proportional to his rage.
  • Oedipus calling for his mother before dying is another reference to the Oedipus complex.
