Sunny was a mercenary and the partner-in-crime of Deathstroke.

History

Sunny was the partner of Slade Wilson, the mercenary known as Deathstroke. Slade remarked that she was intelligent, stubborn in her thinking and determined. The two were contracted by Lex Luthor to kill Batman and as part of Deathstroke's plan, she gave a fake cure to Clayface for his condition, but it only drove him crazy. After Deathstroke helped saving Tim Drake from him, she helped him escape in a van.

Later she pretended to be Firefly about whom Slade claimed to Tim he was tracking down. After he and Tim Drake took down all the Asian giant hornets she had released in the Entomology Pavilion, she attacked them while donning Firefly's suit, engaging in a long fight with the two. Batman however arrived soon and intervened, blinding her using smoke grenades and making her flee after beating her up. This left her displeased with Deathstroke as she didn't expect to face Batman this early and had suffered injuries.

Slade decided to kill Batman within 24 hours when Luthor insisted he do it quickly and took him to the Tri-State dam where he had planted bombs, telling him that they were put in place by Firefly. Sunny once again fought Batman in the Firefly suit, but he had already gotten suspicious as she didn't act like Garfield Lynns. He defeated her by encasing her in ice while she was flying, making her fall from a great height and knocking her out. As he took off her mask, he realized that it had been a set-up designed by Slade.

Slade and Sunny were imprisoned after their defeat at the hands of Batman, but were soon released from prison after Slade bribed the authorities. They later rescued Jason Todd, who had earlier been watching them. Telling the young man to rest, Slade told him he would make a fine new recruit and could find a new family amidst them.
