His plan to defeat the Justice League mocked by Headmaster Mind, an old JLA foe, Punch, a teenage would-be super-villain, vows to prove himself by destroying the Teen Titans first. Speedy rejoins the Titans, and he and Wonder Girl are captured by Punch when they investigate racial riots at a New England high school. At the same time, Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad are defeated by high-frequency sound and light devices while on a mission to a midwestern community. Reunited as Punch's prisoners, the Titans use teamwork to escape his traps and overcome the youthful villain and his followers. Afterward; Aqualad returns to Atlantis for an extended leave, ostensibly in order to look after the infant Aquababy while Aquaman is involved in a quest for his missing wife, Mera, and Speedy becomes Aqualad's replacement among the Titans.

Synopsis for The Flash: "Tempting Target for the Temperature Twins"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #166.
Barry Allen is traveling down the road in the police labmobile when he suddenly encounters a fire at the Real Cool Refrigeration company. He quickly changes into the Flash and enters the burning building. He finds a man and woman inside struggling to breathe in the smoke. He then carries both of them and tries to maneuver his way out of the building but he suddenly falls through a weak spot on the floor. Flash lands on the first level with his two victims but he sprains his ankle in the process. A doctor orders the Flash to stay off the leg for a few days and recommends that he use a pair of crutches. A photographer takes a picture of the Flash with his crutches and Flash thinks to himself that it will now be more difficult to keep his secret identity. It would look very suspicious if Barry Allen all of a sudden appeared with crutches as well. In the meantime Captain Cold and Heat Wave are in the process of conducting their latest crime. They break into the House of Gems and begin to steal jewelry from the patrons inside. As they are stealing jewels they notice that one of the victims is a beautiful young lady who they recognize as Miss Fashion Gem of Central City. The two criminals are enamored by her and immediately begin fighting for her attention. They then spot Flash outside of the building and immediately decide that whoever puts Flash out of commission will win the prize which presumably means the affection of Miss Fashion Gem. The two criminals fire their heat and cold weapons at the Flash who is still nursing a sprained ankle. As the battle progresses the Flash suddenly realizes that the hot and cold discharges from the weapons are actually making his ankle feel better. He soon regains full use of his ankle and easily defeats the temperature twins.
