Synopsis for The Creeper and Wildcat: "Showdown in San Lorenzo!"
A bomb goes off during an exhibition fight between Wildcat and heavyweight contender Japhy Shim. Reporter Jack Ryder quickly changes into the creeper and starts to subdue the bad guys. As he fights, he hallucinates and appears to see his old foe Proteus who is seemingly disguised as Wildcat. The Creeper then attacks the confused Wildcat while the villains haul away Shims unconscious body. As the two hero's tussle, Creeper realizes that he has been tricked by a gas that causes hallucinations. Wildcat and Creeper then agree to work together to recover the heavyweight contender from his captives . They travel to the country of San Lorenzo aboard a luxury ship. While onboard they learn that a general named Pedro Lobo has kidnapped the heavyweight champ and threatens to hurt him unless he is returned to power. It is then revealed that general Lobo is really Proteus in disguise. In the meantime, Wildcat Ted Grant meets with the current President of San Lorenzo and volunteers to take Shims place in the heavyweight bout. As the meeting is taking place,Creeper corners a stool pigeon and gets him to reveal Proteus whereabouts and plans. Creeper races back to the sports arena where the fight is underway. Wildcat takes a beating but holds his own against the champ. While the fight is going on, Proteus holds Shim captive high on a ledge overlooking the ring. The Creeper arrives to capture Proteus but before he can act, Proteus pushes Shim over the ledge and Shim falls towards the ring. The Wildcat sees Shim falling and breaks his fall. The Creeper then confronts the President of San Lorenzo and accuses him of orchestrating the whole thing to consolidate his power. The President attempts to rush Creeper but he easily brushes him aside.

Synopsis for Batman and Deadman: "The Track of the Hook"
This story is reprinted from The Brave and the Bold #79.
While aiding Commissioner Gordon in solving the murder of small time crook Whitey Marsh, Batman learns that the killer was wearing a hook. Deadman, having come to Gotham City to seek Batman's aid in finding his killer, believes the villain responsible, the Hook is in Gotham after overhearing the eye witness account of Marsh's murder.
Aiding Batman the two learn that the killer was not the man who Deadman is looking for, but a thug working for Kubla Kaine, a wealthy business man who is running for mayor and is secretly running a crime syndicate out of Gotham City.
Batman and Deadman find the killer, who dies in combat, and they expose Kaine's involvement in the criminal underworld ruining his bid for mayor.

Synopsis for Green Arrow and Speedy: "The Case of the Vanishing Arrows!"
This story is reprinted from Adventure Comics #266.
Inspired by a note from the Batman signed with a bat-emblem, Green Arrow decides that all his arrows should be tipped with green arrow heads. Digging up a special green rock to make these arrow heads, Green Arrow and Speedy go into action foiling various crimes. However, after they have busted up each crime, their arrows suddenly vanish, are blown away, or are destroyed.
Once they have completely run out of arrows, Superman arrives and tells them that the arrow heads they were using were made out of Green Kryptonite and that, from a safe vantage point, Superman destroyed them so that they would not weaken him. After Superman departs, Green Arrow and Speedy have the rest of the rock destroyed so that it may not be used against Superman in the future.
