  • Invasion of The Hydronoids: The alien Hydronoids come to Earth to erase all people's minds to prevent Earth's expansion into space.
  • Hitchhike: The dangers of hitchhiking.
  • City in a Bottle (main feature): The space viking Mongor puts MidCity USA in a bottle to perform experiments on the inhabitants to see if Earth is conquerable. The Superfriends must find and reverse the process within 24 hours or the city and is inhabitants miniaturization becomes permeant.

Notes

  • Decoder clues: Free, sing to form the word Freezing
  • Magic: how to break a thin board with newspapers
  • Continuity errors:
    • Main feature
      • Superman doesn't use his heat vision to melt the ice cave the Superfriends are trapped in but uses it to help defeat an endless army of ice warriors.
      • Superman uses his powers to drill through the alien ice but doesn't use this method to get the Superfriends out of the ice cave.
      • It is never explained why Superman simply didn't use his powers to deactivate the machine making the ice warriors.
    • In Space Emergency one of the people on Skylab calls Mission Control to tell them that propulsion, communication, and breathing systems in both Skylab and the Shuttle were knocked out. If communication was knocked out who exactly was he talking to?
  • Even though it appears in later season Kandor is not mentioned in "City in a Bottle".

Trivia

  • Mongor's shrinking of a city is very similar to that of Brainiac.
