When the government refuses Professor Goodfellow makes his G.E.E.C. available to anyone who wants it. Very soon the majority of the world uses the G.E.Professor Goodfellow's G.E.E.C. is an episode of season 1 of Super Friends. It premiered on September 22, 1973.

Synopsis for "Professor Goodfellow's G.E.E.C."

Professor Goodfellow invents the G.E.E.C. which he plans to denote to the government. The computer is to take over all jobs done by men and women. When the government refuses Professor Goodfellow makes his G.E.E.C. available to anyone who wants it. Very soon the majority of the world uses the G.E.E.C. and Goodfellow shows how his G.E.E.C. can repair itself. However a mouse gets into the computer causing all the G.E.E.C. controlled machines to go haywire. Eventually the Superfriends are able get into to see Goodfellow. After Superman knocks the G.E.E.C. control satellite out of orbit, the Superfriends shut down the communication system. They then have Plastic Man get the mouse leaving Wonder Woman and Superman to reset the G.E.E.C. Professor Goodfellow states that he will dismantle the G.E.E.C. into smaller units.

  • When talking about the computer Batman makes reference to vacuum tubes...something that even in the 1970s no modern real world computer used.
  • It is revealed that Superman's powers are sapped then he comes within 20 feet of Kryptonite.
  • The clean shaven black haired Colonel that appears in this episode is identified as Colonel Wilcox in Super Friends (TV Series) Episode: The Mysterious Moles and wears what looks like an air-force dress uniform. The Colonel Wilcox that appears in the rest of the series is a gray haired man with a mustache in what looks like an Army Class A Dress Green Uniform.[1]
