Synopsis for "Super Friends, Rest in Peace"
The Legion of Doom use an oil rig as a cover to obtain the element Noxium (invented by former Legion of Doom member Dr. Natas as a way to kill all of the Superfriends) buried a mile under the Hall of Justice. Unable to open the box of Krypton steel that the element is in they trick Superman into opening it for them. They then use the Noxium to wipe out the Superfriends. As the last Superfriend dies, Luthor tosses the Noxium away where it falls into a sewer. A strange figure enters the sewer and shoots the Noxium into space. Later, Luthor extorts the world leaders and asks what nations the group in front of him represent. They reveal themselves to be the Superfriends and, after defeating the Legion of Doom, reveal that the Superfriends that were supposedly killed by the Legion were, in fact, robots that were programmed to fail.

Notes
Bloopers and Inconsistencies
Even in a fictitious reality that accepts the notion of super-powered individuals, this episode still demonstrates several logistical improbabilities.
- Sinestro states that Krypton steel is a harmless form of Kryptonite that only Superman can penetrate. This ignores the fact that Bizarro has all of Superman's powers and, therefore, should be equally able to open the box.
- When Sinestro fights "Green Lantern", his yellow beam is knocked away, something that is impossible for a real Green Lantern power ring to do.
- Apache Chief shoots the Noxium into space, meaning that someone else could find it and cause something like this to happen again.
Trivia
- This is one of the few times that a member of the Legion of Doom refers to the Super friends as the Justice League.
- This is the only reference to a 14th member of the Legion of Doom: Dr. Natas.
